Data protection

All personal data collected on the websites of the companies of the Amberg Group or in the course of such companies’ other activities are saved and processed and, if necessary, passed on to companies of the Amberg Group exclusively for the purpose of individual support, the sending of product information or the submission of service offers. Your personal data will be shared with companies within the Amberg Group and may be shared with our business partners and legal agents. You authorise us to transfer your personal data to the corresponding party based on your consent.

What are your rights?

  • You may request the deletion of your personal data at any time unless otherwise provided by law (right to erasure).

Under Chinese law, you have the right, in the event of your death, to allow your next of kin, for his/her own lawful and legitimate interests, to exercise your rights of access, copy, correction, deletion, etc., unless you instruct otherwise. Unless you indicate otherwise, by notice to you of this data protection declaration, your next of kin or anyone else shall not exercise your rights to your personal data.

Information, correction, and deletion of data

We would like to point out that your right to the deletion of data may be restricted by legal storage obligations, which we must observe. In addition, courts, law enforcement agencies or other legally designated authorities can access data or request information on a legal basis.

Data protection for applicants

When recruiting, we process personal data that we require as part of the applicant selection for an employment relationship. This is contact data and all data such as curriculum vitae, certificates, qualifications, answers to questions, etc. as well as bank account data, if applicable, to reimburse travel expenses.
If a recruiter has been commissioned to send us the application documents, we will receive all the information provided in the application from the recruiter.
We will use the information you provide in the online application form exclusively for processing your application and will pass it on within the Amberg Group to the employees responsible for making decisions. Your contact and application data will be stored by us for the duration of the application process. Your application data will be deleted no later than 6 months after the end of the application process unless the application can be retained for future vacancies in consultation with the applicant and with his or her consent. 


We send e-mails to keep our newsletter subscribers up to date with the latest information and updates on our products and services.

Double-Opt-In and Logging: Registration for our newsletter is done using the double opt-in process. After registration we send an e-mail with request for confirmation. Registration for the newsletter is logged to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. 

Cancellation/Withdrawal (opt-out): Subscription to our newsletter can be cancelled or consent revoked at any time. At the end of each newsletter there is a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter. 

Statistics and evaluation of success: By subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to our evaluation, with which we measure how often the newsletter is opened and which links are clicked on by readers.

Our website embeds social media plugins or widgets which are provided by Walls.io. When loading these widgets, your IP address and cookie information are transferred to Walls.io. Walls.io is operated by Walls.io GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria.

Amberg Videoportal
Registration is required to use certain functions of the Amberg Videoportal (www.ambergvideo.com). When registering, a valid e-mail address and a password must be provided (Double-opt-in). 

When using our platform, we only store necessary/functional cookies that ensure the platform's basic functions. We use the Captcha-Plugin from our supplier and hosting partner, Mastersolution Ltd, in Germany.

We can amend this data protection declaration at any time without notice. The current version published on our website applies. Insofar as the data protection declaration is part of an agreement with you, we will inform you of the change in an appropriate manner in the event of an update.
